  • How far in advance do I need to reserve the space?

The timing of reserving a space for your ceremony or reception varies. The most popular months for weddings are May through October. To reserve a particular date, we suggest calling as soon as possible, as prime dates will fill up 12–18 months in advance. It never hurts to call and ask about availability if your wedding date is sooner.

  • When can I decorate the room?

The time that you will be able to decorate your room will be determined approximately two weeks prior to your wedding. The standard time for a late afternoon or evening wedding is 2:00 p.m. the day of the wedding.

  • Can I have my rehearsal dinner at Lied Lodge?

Yes. Lied Lodge offers a variety of venues and menus to suit your tastes. We also have rooms available for breakfast and gift opening.

  • I would like to set up an appointment with the wedding manager. When can I meet with her, and how much time should I allow for the meeting?

On your initial visit, please allow one hour to meet with the wedding manager. The days and dates she is available may vary by week, however, Tuesday through Friday are the best days for appointments. Saturdays tend to be the busiest days due to weddings taking place. The length of additional planning appointments will be determined by the detail and style of your wedding. To set up an appointment, please call the wedding manager at 402-873-8797, and she will able to assist you.

  • What happens if I plan an outdoor ceremony and it rains?

If there is rain the day of your wedding, the ceremony can be held in your reception room. If you have reserved the Historic Barns, the event will go on as planned, as vinyl walls/flaps can be rolled down in rainy weather to keep everything inside the barns dry. Also, the East Barn can then be utilized for the ceremony location.

  • Can I have my ceremony at Lied Lodge but not my reception?

Yes, please contact us for availability. The two options for ceremony only locations include Arbor Lodge State Historical Park's heart-shaped lawn or rose garden.

  • Can I order a wedding cake from Lied Lodge?
