Celebrating 25 Years of Lied Lodge

The seed of an idea

Lied Lodge was initially created to provide a place to facilitate discussion of natural resource issues and problems facing our nation’s environment — and to work together on solutions.

That idea met with great success, and over the years, we’ve hosted every major agency including the U.S. Forest Service and National Park Service as well as the National Audubon Society, The Nature Conservancy, the Sierra Club, the National Wildlife Federation, and many others.

Today a wooded wonderland

Since its dedication in 1993, Lied Lodge has served these conservation and natural resource organizations as well as played host to hundreds of thousands of visitors from other walks of life.

Some are families on vacation or seeking a unique place for a weekend together. Some are wedding parties or reunion gatherings or business groups making plans or seeking ways to motivate their sales forces.

For all of them, Lied Lodge’s nature-inspired setting has provided a picturesque backdrop where memorable getaways, meetings, weddings, and gatherings take place.

Thank you

If you’ve visited Lied Lodge over the past 25 years, we’d like to say thank you for being a part of our journey. If you’re just finding out about us, then we hope to see you soon. Please explore our website and make plans for your visit to Lied Lodge at Arbor Day Farm.

A program of the Arbor Day Foundation, Lied Lodge & Conference Center’s mission is to inspire people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees.
