Summer Adventure Hikes: Creeking

At Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure

Offered Saturdays all Summer -- 4pm
Rain or shine

Bring your sense of adventure and rugged, waterproof footwear for this moderate guided hike! Follow your tour guide for a trek into the backwoods of Arbor Day Farm and along historic South Table Creek, where you can relax in a quiet clearing or splash in the water. $15 for adults, $13 for age 5-12; price includes your admission to the Tree Adventure. Wine Under the Pines Festival

Celebrate Southeast Nebraska's rich wine heritage at the 3rd Annual Wine Under the Pines Festival on Saturday, August 7. Enjoy selections from six Nebraska wineries and breweries, a grape stomp, live music, vineyard tours, cooking demonstrations, and more summer fun. New this year: cast your vote in the Good Wood BBQ challenge>

Wine Under the Pines is hosted by Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard in Nebraska City.

Additional festivities take place at:

Applejack Festival

Nebraska City's Applejack Festival is Sept. 18-19, 2010 -- come celebrate the kick-off of an abundant apple harvest! Arbor Day Farm is planning a weekend full of family fun --- including apple picking in the orchard, apple pie, apple slushees, tree climbing, and much more. Discovery Ride

Monday through Friday at 2pm
Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm and 3pm

All aboard for a front row view of nature! Embark on the Discovery Ride, an hour-long guided journey deep into the forest at Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure. Travel over the creekbed and through the orchards while an experienced tour guide shows and tells all about the rich history and bright future of these 260 acres. A great way to take your team outdoors for a group activity. Admission.

The Discovery Ride is also available for private bookings. Contact us and we'll coordinate a ride time that works for you.

Discover something new every season at the Tree Adventure. Here you can hike miles of forested trails, climb a 50-foot-tall treehouse, embark on the guided Discovery Ride, and play and learn in the Nature Explore Classroom. Your paid admission includes a tree seedling to plant at home. The Arbor Day Farm experience isn't complete until you've explored the many activities at the Tree Adventure.
